corona virus

Believe me, if you were to cough right now in a public place people will look at you and lightly say “Corona Virus.” That is how stereotypical corona virus has been made. However, there is more than meets the eye because in countries of the Asian region, corona is as serious as their economy. The most hit sector is the economy as it is literally the spine of a country. Let us delve into how corona(COVID-19) has hit or is going to hit this sector.
TRADE
Trade globally has highly been affected by the virus. Countries especially in Europe are the hardest hit. Why would lives of innocent people be risked in the name of trade. This is in the sense that no country would want to risk getting their people sick when they consume goods from countries hit with the virus.
TOURISM
Another hard hit sector is tourism. The number of tourists has greatly declined hence affecting the local businesses depending on tourism. Countries that highly depend on tourism are really feeling the heat.
INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
Events such as sports competitions are now being cancelled because of fear of contracting the contagious virus. This hinders the affected countries from showcasing what they have for trade.
UNEMPLOYMENT
People are now losing their jobs as a result of this pandemic. Places of work are crowded hence it being a risk of easily contracting the virus. So as to prevent this from happening, most people are opting to leave their jobs. This in turn affects the economy of the countries. The people themselves have also lost a means of earning income and making ends meet may start being a hustle.

The virus that first hit headlines in China on February is doing a lot of harm worldwide. The cure is yet to be discovered hence make sure you exercise proper hygiene to protect yourself.

  5. Panic is the top driver of the global spread of this virus. People should stay calm and take the necessary precautions given by their doctors and stop world touring like celebrities

  8. Its so sad that even the U.S is now about to register the highest rate of unemployment after the great recession. Lets hope for the best as Africa and hope our leaders see this as a chance to free African nations from the shackles of the whites(in terms of dependence on basic amenities like healthcare)
