Love is a beautiful thing. To me, love romantically,is a bond shared by two people which is often indescribable. It's only the people involved that get to understand it. Love is not supposed to be complicated, love is like a pill that gets you hooked and   sinks you bait and sinker,probably that's why it's so common especially in campus.

The students get into relationships and expect it to be all bliss and a fairytale but shocks on them. Left, right and centre, there are cases of toxic relationships 24/7,365 days in a year. Mostly we hear about beating or murder of a beloved.what we do not see or hear are misuse of one another. One party benefits while the other does not. In essence,toxic relationships are not only about the physical harm but also psychological and emotional.

Recently we have been hearing cases of students murdering their partner in cold blood for instance, a lady, Ivy Wangechi, a student at the Moi University Eldoret was killed murdered by the boyfriend  using an axe, last year. I believe there are better ways of solving conflicts in a relationship rather than turning to murder. If you see that your relationship is doing you more harm than good please  leave. Your life and peace of mind is of great value.

Bottom line, you do not have to have physical marks to know you are in a toxic relationship. If it causes sleepless nights,self doubt, inferiority or emotional distress get the hell out. Sometimes what we say that love is blind actually is ignorance. The last thing you'd want is to mistake the former with the latter. As a great man once said, if you cannot take the heat,get out of the kitchen.Its your peace of mind and life that is precious and matters the most.
